Envecon, a global IT service provider today announced the successful implementation of IFS Enterprise solutions for India Japan Lighting Pvt. Ltd. (IJL). Incorporated in December 1996, IJL is a 50:50 joint venture between Lucas-TVS Limited, Chennai, and Koito Manufacturing Company Limited, Japan. Lucas-TVS Limited is an acknowledged leader in Auto Electricals in India, while Koito Manufacturing Company Limited is the leader in automotive lighting in Japan. Apart from automotive lighting, they also manufacture specialized lighting equipment for ships and aircrafts. Koito, also has ventures in the USA, UK, China, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and Czech.
The Project started in September 2018 with IJL wanting to bring in efficiency in their processes, achieve the objectives of operational efficiency, and optimize operational cost in the areas of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, HR & Payroll, Corporate Finance & Accounting. Envecon with its in-depth knowledge, rich experience, and expertise in IFS Applications were chosen to digitalize IJL business system.
The Project came to be successfully implemented by Envecon on time and went live in February 2019 (as scheduled), which included end-to-end implementation of IFS ERP solutions. The scope of work included implementation and maintenance including updates and upgrades of IFS Applications. The services also include on-site L1 support as and when basis.
Implementation of IFS ERP solution has enabled IJL to streamline processes, enhance day-to-day operations, increase operational efficiency and significantly reduce operational cost. IJL also leverages the best practices and techniques offered by the IFS Applications solution in order to bring in efficiency in their processes.
IJL has achieved the following benefits from the implementation.
i. Bring in the best of systems/processes broadly, but not limiting to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources & Payroll areas to enhance efficiency of the IJL day-to-day operations and Management reporting.
ii. Single instance supporting multiple locations of IJL and accessible from any location through Internet
iii. Rolled out Change Management process during the phase of implementation.
iv. Implement a solution that is comprehensive & self-reliant in areas mentioned above and is well equipped for a Professional Services organization like IJL.
