Envecon, a global IT service provider today announced the successful GO LIVE implementation of Logstar solution on integrated Terminal Management System for ENL Consortium Ltd., a Nigeria based multi-business consortium, functioning in port, power and construction industries.
The Project started in July 2018 with ENL wanting to do away with their legacy system, where maximum documentation work was done in paper leading to human errors, gaps in billing and data mismatch. Envecon with its in-depth knowledge, rich experience, and expertise in the Transport & Logistics industry was chosen to digitalize ENL’s Terminal Management System.
The Project came to be successfully implemented by Logstar, including complete integration with Oracle eBusiness Suite Finance. The project scope included the implementation of Logstar’s GenCare and Billing system to streamline processes, operations & terminal congestion management, finance, contract management, and inventory. Logstar team faced various challenges while implementing the Terminal Operating System. The client had a complicated tariff system making the existing billing process complicated, complex equipment charges and labor payment made the finance management more difficult. Undefined location of cargos led to problems in inventory and resource management.
Integration of Logstar’s GenCare has enabled streamline operations, improve vessel management both in planning and execution, receipt & delivery management as well as better management in terminal congestion and inventory management. By implementing Logstar’s Billing system the difficulties in invoice posting, the reversal of invoices and rate of exchange were resolved. Invoice changes were made system driven leading to reduced revenue leakage. The Best Practices were also introduced for better stock management, billing system, accountability in contract management, KPI management and revenue.
The implementation of Logstar’s Terminal Management system has empowered ENL to streamline processes, improve planning and execution through proper KPI setting, optimize usage of resources and reduce revenue leakage.
Congratulations to the team members of ENL, Oracle Nigeria, and LogStar, whose involvement contributed to the success of this project. The team strove hard over days, overcoming challenges making sure the project was successfully implemented and went Live. Our team members played key roles in managing critical functionality development in the Project. Their teamwork was outstanding and played an important role in the success of this project.
